Thank You Economy is about something big, something greater than any single revolutionary platform. It isn't some abstract concept or wacky business strategy—it's real, and every one of us is doing business in it every day, whether we choose to recognize it or not. It's the way we communicate, the way we buy and sell, the way businesses and consumers interact online and offline. The Internet, where the Thank You Economy was born, has given consumers back their voice, and the tremendous power of their opinions via social media means that companies and brands have to compete on a whole different level than they used to

wine and sharing with Gary Vaynerchuk at #levin20 in Paris

So I'm blogging live from #levin20 in Paris, a coming together of the wine people of Europe, from bloggers to winemakers, winepress and me @winesocialclub. We had a great thunder talk by my friend @garyvee who spoke on sharing. Then a few of us had a good discussion over lunch with Gary  @garyvee

about people being nervous in Europe (in particular Italy and France) about sharing because they don't feel comfortable in the webspace.

I'm going to be blogging about sharing a lot both in the wine world and on the web for personal branding and socialsharing.

We had a great lunch and a catch up.

Thanks Gary, and I hope that race in from the airport straight to your talk to us winepeople was not too freezing. We have a  live winetasting later with Gary on winelibrary TV, that will be fun and ill upload it.

Its been quite a week for me first with Chris Brogan and then Gary Vaynerchuk,  my two online teachers.

Here we are with Philipe Hugon organiser of @vinternet and Yair Haidu whose wine platform I write a wine blog  on wineloversworld. He's up on stage now talking about the awesomeness of what you can experience on Haidu channel with wine.

Being authentic

So what separates the wheat from the chaff on social media sites or on any site? The real deal, yes, If you are not passionate about your project/product, no one else will get it either. I'm surrounded by Computer Science graduates, who insist they will programme their rise to the top, every step of the way, exercise complete control, and force their brilliant new idea into our homes. Oh dear..... I have one thing to say.... if you can't generate excitment, and lets face it some of us just cant, then pay someone else to light the fireworks for you. AND GET OUT OF THE WAY. If you think you have the right stuff here are some good twitter tips to get you started. Now Here's someone who may not be everyone's cup of cabernet, when it comes to his personal brand, but you have to hand it to Gary, he knows how to light the fuse. PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION PASSION If you believe, no one can stand in your way Watch the video You can see Gary in action when he speaks at Le WEB Paris 9th 10th DEC 2009 where I am an official blogger. #leweb08 caught in a no wi fi web

Photo #leweb Andre Ribeirinho It seems like the old no wi fi issue rears its ugly head again at #leweb just like at techcrunch50/Berlin tell us what you think about it 16 hours ago from TweetDeck.@wisequeen I though it would be novel to compose a post based on my tweets on #leweb over the past 24 hours. The critics have been called harsh and numerous. In particular Paul Carr from the Guardian whose post was I admit, the best of Brit satire, on a subject the English are particularly good at, French bashing. The history books are full of it. I find this all rather interesting as an intercultural trainer. And something that shouldn't be taken too seriously. We need to laugh at ourselves more. Organizing an international web conference is a hard, hard task. So thanks to Loic and his team for bringing us #leweb08. The speakers were fantastic, too many to mention, I loved @garyvees winetalk too. However I think if you have a web conference with no web and icecream-cone sound, then people will complain, and by God they did. Loren Feldman of @1983media tweeted "how difficult can it be to run the cable or whatever the fuck they do to bring me the internet to my hotel?" Indeed, a good question. My peeps attending were tweeting me that they were freezing, had no food or wifi and envied me. As I watched the fantastic speakers and web gurus that I normally only talk to on line, come into my warm, food-and-hot-coffee-stocked office via the ustream that Loic was criticised for not monetising via his company Seesmic, I congratulated myself for having had flu and not treking to Paris. Oh forgot to say! My favorite discussion of which there were many, was right at the end. The Gilmour Gang perched on the couches consuming the eighty dollar Chateauneuf du Pape wine Gary Vee was too polite to carry out with him, and shouting over each other, while picking fights with Arrington and Loic in a sort of American WWF smackdown kinda way. Hilarious Because as I know so well (I've written posts before on this, EU wi fi never works), unless I'm in Switzerland, where I have my own roaming. @wisequeen tweets. u had great speakers. I participated livestream cldnt get there. So interesting well done! wifi sit normal .wisequeen.com about 21 hours ago from web in reply to loiclemeur #leweb c'était SUPER, MERCI about 21 hours ago from web in reply to loiclemeur Put this down to intercultural rivalry Loic 600 yrs of ENG vs France and USA rejects French fries under George dubbleya. laugh! 27 minutes ago from web in reply to loiclemeur @garyvee on wiki informal, hyperkinetic disarmingly honeststyle unpretentious, gonzo approach wine appreciation contrast conservative wine ind about 1 hour ago from web in reply to garyvee I use tweetag and then put in the words you want with #leweb like good, interesting, best, http://tweetag.com/ 19 minutes ago from web in reply to loiclemeur Loic on Twitter “About Seesmic: I decided on purpose not to showcase/use Seesmic at all on stage to avoid any possible criticism but now I get it for not...” So go on speak your mind on#leweb, I know you're going to under comments.
